Folks, the post from Cary Nickel is about TEN years old... The town was/is Sylvania(Esmeralda County). The mine was UNpatented... There is a listing for Sylvania on this site w/pics.

Squirt guns, rubber axes, Handy Andy hammers, and lil plastic chainsaws that make that whirling sound don't count! I prefer water poured over the computer...I'm a regular with !!!

Thinking on a similar.Have in Mind to buy a few Acre Land and put a Cabin on it to stay over Winter,or,buy a old Cabin i refurbish and its mine, but goes back to previous Owner,or if in/around Historical site, goes to thems Ownership,as i haven't Kits and dont know anyone in our Family who were interested in it.

Here is a cool place for sale... very cool in winter (as in freeze your b&&t off) and in summer too well at least at night. Price reduced!
http://www.petenevin.com/hardluckmine.html It's about six miles from the bustling metropolis of Bonnie Claire and off Scotty's Castle Road.
If you are in the area the owner will show you around it's an interesting place and whenever I use the toaster now I think of how much electricity it uses.
