: I was at Barker Ranch a few times in the last year. It really depends on the road conditions. One of the times I was there I was in a RENTED 4X4 Xterra. You WILL be required to have 4 wheel drive. There are two ways to go. The best way to go is from Ballarat through Goler Wash.

: From Ballarat head south on the dirt road to the active gold mine. Continue on the road south about 10 miles. This road will eventually have a trail marked "Goler Wash" you can head east from there. Continue down Goler wash until you see the National Park Boundary. Turn south right past the sign. Follow it back about 1/2 mile to the site.
